Morocco reform process moves forward

King Mohammed VI on Friday (June 10th) received a draft of reform proposals, prepared by the advisory committee for constitution revision.

Speaking with committee chief Abdeltif Menouni and advisor Mohamed Moatassim, the sovereign praised the work of the consultative body as “innovative”. The meeting came three days after the committee held sessions with 38 political parties and unions to discuss the outlines of the constitution draft.

According to politicians and unionists who participated in the meetings, the revised fundamental law will enshrine a greater balance between authorities and institutions.
