Moroccan consumer prices fell year on year in September, pushed down by a decline in food prices, official data showed on Thursday.
The overall consumer price index was down 0.3 percent last month from a year ago as food prices fell 1.4 percent and non-food prices increased 0.7 percent, the state High Planning Commission said.
Food prices account for more than 40 percent of the consumer prices gauge.
